GOOD FRIDAY TENEBRAE SERVICE: 4/3
“Tenebrae” means “shadows,” and this traditional United Methodist service leads us into the darkness of the crucifixion story, one candle at a time. As Scripture is read and light fades, we walk with Jesus through betrayal, suffering, and death. It’s a stark and moving contrast to the joy of Easter—but necessary. We cannot proclaim resurrection without standing still in the silence of the tomb.
