FIRST RECIPIENT OF THE REV. DAVID G. ATKINSON SCHOLARSHIP: KRISTI HUSETH

In August of 2021, the late Bill McKinney proposed a challenge to Collierville United Methodist Church to create a seminary scholarship to honor and remember the late Rev. David G. Atkinson who had died of Covid that April.

The Seminary Scholarship Committee is proud to introduce our first recipient: Kristi Huseth.

• Kristi grew up in Colorado and has lived in Tennessee for 10 years.

• She is married to her husband – Tucker.

• In 2019, she graduated from Middle TN State University with a Bachelor of Science in Recording Industry

• Kristi has been a singer/songwriter since age 10. You can google her name and find TikTok and Instagram pages where she shares her music and other inspirational thoughts.

• Kristi has finished her first semester at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY, where she is working on a Master of Arts in Theology and History.

• Kristi desires to meld her creative and artistic gifts with her prophetic Christian voice to reach out to those in the entertainment industry sharing with them the goodness and life found in God alone. She also would like to form a Christian artist collective, bringing together a wide range of persons across a variety of artistic mediums for Christian support, fellowship, partnership, and growth.
