SMALLL GROUPS

Relationships are at the heart of ministry at Collierville UMC because we believe faith grows best in community, not in isolation. Together we help and support one another, and together we reach out in Christ’s love to our neighbors. One of the primary ways we do this is through our Connect Groups, where you’ll find community, laughter, honest questions, and compassionate care for one another.

We offer several types of groups so you can find a place that fits your season of life and spiritual needs.

  • Sunday Morning Classes: Bible- and book-based groups that meet weekly for study, prayer, and fellowship.

  • Ongoing Connect Groups: Small groups and fellowship gatherings that meet regularly around shared interests, life stages, or spiritual practices.

  • Wesleyan Covenant Groups: Accountable small groups rooted in Wesleyan accountability questions, holy conferencing, and mutual support for spiritual growth.

  • Short-Term Studies & Classes: Semester-based Bible studies, discipleship groups, and topical classes that run for a defined period.

  • Children, Youth, & Family Ministries: Age-specific environments that help kids, students, and parents grow in faith and connection.

Whether you are brand new or have been here for years, there is a place for you to belong, to grow, and to serve with others at CUMC. We hope you’ll explore these groups and take a next step into community with us.

THE GATHERING
When people ask what Wednesday nights look like at Collierville, I tell them it feels like the church taking a deep breath together. We call the whole evening THE GATHERING because it is the one night when people arrive from every direction and settle into a shared rhythm. Some come racing in from work. Some drift in with kids in tow. Others finish a late meeting or drive across town after a long day. All of that is expected. You could say that it’s like a pattern that encourages inclusion no matter what time you show up. We have a schedule…but it’s not strict and it’s full of grace. For more information on classes, check here: www.colliervilleumc.org/gathering.

THE TABLE
Come fellowship with your friends and family from 6-6:30pm for dinner in the Servery/Dining Room! Suggested donation is $5 per person ($20 cap per family) and an RSVP by Wednesday at noon prior to dinner would be helpful: colliervilleumc.info/signup. Contact: Dr. Joey Reed, jreed@colliervilleumc.org.
