SECOND HAND SALE: 4/18
Donation Drop-Off Begins: Sunday, April 12 at 1:00 PM
Church family,
This is one of the biggest undertakings we do all year. It takes all of us. The Second Hand Sale isn’t just about clearing out closets. It’s about generosity. It’s about serving our community. It’s about students and adults working side by side. It’s about making space for someone else to be blessed.
This event only works when everyone leans in. We need you!
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Sunday, April 12 – 1PM: Donation drop-off begins
- April 12 – 17: Sorting, organizing, pricing, and set-up wee
- Saturday, April 18: Sale Day
WHAT WE NEED DONATED:
- Gently used clothing (clean and in good condition)
- Shoes
- Home décor
- Kitchen items
- Small appliances (working condition only)
- Furniture (pre-approved if needed)
- Books
- Toys (complete sets only)
- Tools
- Seasonal items
PLEASE DO NOT DONATE:
- Broken or heavily worn items
- Large entertainment centers
- Old mattresses
- Items with stains or strong odors
If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, please don’t donate it.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
This week requires bodies, energy, and willingness!
1. Drop Off Donations
Start bringing items Sunday, April 12 at 1 PM.
2. Volunteer During the Week
We need help with: Sorting clothes, Organizing sections, Pricing items, Moving furniture, Setting up tables, Cleaning up
Even one hour makes a difference.
3. Serve on Sale Day (April 18)
We need: Greeters, Cashiers, Floor helpers, Load-out helpers, Prayer support, Clean-up crew
4. Pray
This event is ministry. Pray for: Generosity, Safety, Good weather, Divine conversations, A spirit of unity
For Families with Students:
This is an incredible week for our youth to:
- Learn responsibility
- Serve alongside adults
- Practice generosity
- See the church in action
Encourage your student to sign up for multiple shifts. This is discipleship in work boots.
Final Word:
Church family — this is big. It will require sacrifice. It will require time. It will require patience.
But when we do it together, it’s beautiful. Let’s lean in. Let’s serve well. Let’s make this our best year yet.
